Adventures to Lyme Regis with Jurassic Properties
I will forever count my lucky stars that my job takes me to some of the most beautiful places. I’d never been to Lyme Regis before so when I started chatting with Jurassic Properties about photographing and experiencing one of their new properties, I jumped at the opportunity.
Lyme Regis is a stunning coastal town located on the famous Jurassic Coast in Dorset, approximately 2 hours from Cornwall. My partner Scott and I enjoyed 48 hours (across my birthday weekend!) exploring the local area and making the very most out of The Hideaway, our Jurassic Property home for the weekend.
The Hideaway is a beautiful garden apartment located in the heart of Lyme Regis. With a fully equipped kitchen and wood-fired hot tub, it has everything you need for a cosy night in.
Considering Scott is a Head Chef, the food we eat at home is pretty up there, but we decided that it was time I learnt a thing or two. We were both craving pasta, so off we went to the local deli and wine shop to find our produce (shout out to The Seriously Good Wine Shop and Deli Weli) so we could make pasta from scratch. Fast forward to lots of fresh pasta, two bottles of wine and an evening in the hot tub - quite simply the best night!
The following day we decided to go and check out Monmouth Beach, one of the most famous places in the UK (if not the world) for fossils. Scott and I were both amazed at how many fossils we found, many of them bigger than us! We spent a good three hours scouring the beach and could have quite easily spent longer.
After our day of fossil hunting, we decided to go and grab pizza from Poco Pizza, an authentic Italian Restaurant located on the seafront. It did not disappoint!
Jurassic Properties have a range of properties located in Lyme Regis, and I cannot recommend them enough. The properties are stunning and have so much character. Charlie our host was on hand for anything we needed, and Lyme Regis as a location is just lovely. We had such a rememberable weekend away and it truly made my birthday!
