Barnaby's in Padstow - The Best Restaurants in Cornwall
I’d been eyeing up Barnaby’s in Padstow for quite some time so I was beyond excited to have been invited to try out their lunch menu. Prawn on the Lawn (and farm) is one of my favourite restaurants in Cornwall so I was super eager to check out Barnaby’s, their sister restaurant tucked away at Trevibban Mill near Padstow.
Barnaby’s is located on Trevibban Mill Vineyard which is a family-run, working vineyard. As we drove down the lane, we noticed some people picking apples - we were later told that Trevibban Mill also makes their own cider as well as wine, which are of course on offer across the drinks menu.
Barnabys is all about sharing! I absolutely love going out to eat and sharing different plates and talking about the flavours with good company. We went for the confit duck, lamb borek, cuttlefish, crab toast, oysters, coppa and of course the famous POTL potatoes. Every plate was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!
I was pleased to see the famous Prawn on the Lawn potatoes on Barnaby’s menu. I loved the POTL potatoes so much that last year I made my partner Scott make them for me at home -shout out to the Prawn on the Farm recipe book!
This way of dining is such an experience and I couldn’t recommend it enough. @barnabyspadstow should definitely be added to your Cornish foodie bucket list if you love bold flavours and conversation.
*Please note that this was a gifted meal, however, all views are my own, we had such a great afternoon!
