Cake and Cocktails: Lawrance's Bakery & Bar, Truro
Located on New Bridge Street, Lawrance’s Bakery & Bar is quickly becoming one of Truro’s coolest hang out spots. A new place to eat and drink in Truro, Cornwall. Their vision is simple: to offer cocktails and delicious home-made cakes to the people of Truro. In my eyes, this is an absolute winning combination.
The lovely couple, Lucy and Phil opened Lawrance’s Bakery & Bar in November 2019, making it one of Truro’s latest eateries/bars. Every single day you can expect an array of delicious home-made cakes, including gluten-free and vegan options. There is also a cocktail menu that continues the dessert theme. If cocktails aren’t tickling your fancy that you can also choose from larger, wine, ciders and soft drinks.
Coffee is also one of Lawrance’s specialties. Expect a rich and lively coffee from Italian blend with beans from Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Perù, India.
With quirky decor, Lawrance’s bar is spread across three floors, proving guests with plenty of space to relax, catch up with friends or work. My sister Niki and I popped into Lawrance’s Bakery & Bar after work one Thursday evening and were super impressed with the creativity of their cocktails! I opted for the Espresso Martini and Niki chose the Raspberry Ripple. Both cocktails perfectly complimented the Rocky Road and Lemon Drizzle cake. It doesn’t come as a surprise that the Rocky Road was the best Rocky Road that I have ever tasted - Lucy is such a talented baker!
I have collaborated with Lawrance’s Bakery & Bar for the first-ever Inner Social Event on the 6th of February 2020. We know that as a freelancer, creative or woman in business, things can often become a little lonely.
