Review: Zacry's at Watergate Bay, Newquay
Zacry’s at Watergate Bay in Cornwall is now open for relaxed lunches and leisurely summertime afternoons by the sea wall, in collaboration with Cloudy Bay. If you’re looking for a good restaurant in Newquay then Zacry’s is a real winner.
The lunch offerings feature fresh seafood, expertly paired with four signature Cloudy Bay wines. We began with potted shrimp, mace butter, toasted crumpet, and pickled cucumber, followed by linguine vongole and half a lobster (my sister Niki and I shared the mains to sample both dishes!)
The meals we chose were delicious, and the Cloudy Bay New Zealand sauvignon blanc has become a new favourite. All main dishes include sides at no extra cost, which is a fantastic bonus
The interior at Zacry’s is truly captivating, seamlessly blending coastal charm with a bohemian twist. As you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting ambience that combines the relaxed, breezy feel of the Cornish coast with eclectic, artistic touches. The large windows allow natural light to flood in, offering a wide view across Watergate Bay, one of Newquay's most beloved beaches.
If you’re looking for a sophisticated evening dinner or a relaxed lunch by the sea, then Zacry’s at Watergate Bay should be on your list. Whether you’re in the mood for an elegant dining experience or a casual meal with a stunning seaside view, Zacry’s offers the perfect setting.
*Please note that this was a gifted collaboration, however, all opinions are my own - we had a lovely lunch.
